A Memorial Service for Art Waskey was held
At the Lions Club on this day, September 25,2003
Friendship, Love, and Respect were Spoken for this Man
For all of us to see

Marilyn greeted everyone at the door
Tears filled her eyes as spoke of Art's last day
Pictures of Art's Life were displayed and the
Smiling memories brushed some of the tears away

Artie Jr. spoke about his love for his Dad,
Pausing many times fighting back the tears
He spoke of many happy times, and times of sadness
and of things they shared through the years 

Other family members spoke about how Arty
had influenced their lives as well
Each of the Lions, Ball Players, Legionaires spoke of
Praise for Arty, with each story they had to tell

To sum up this memorial for Art I will try
to end it the best way that I can__
and that would be to say
SINCERELY ART WASKEY, YOU WERE A MUCH LOVED MAN!!

Sparky.. I am truly in awe of your words. My family and I thank you
from the bottom of our hearts for this poem. These words you have placed
