Ruth C. Strozzi, 84, passed away at the Hernando-Pasco Hospice Center in Brooksville. 
Ruth was born in Pitman, NJ and moved to Spring Hill from Sicklerville, NJ in 1987. She 
was a hard working woman that never let anyone discourage her in what she believed in. 
She enjoyed being around her family every waking moment. She enjoyed dancing throughout 
her youth so much that she would go three to four times a week. Other interests of hers include 
traveling, reading, collecting porcelain dolls and Santa figurines from all over the world, crocheting, 
and cross-stitching. She was preceded in death by her husband, Berton E. Hickman; daughter, 
Norma G. O’Connor and sister, Ann Brown. She is survived by her loving husband, 
Peter A.; daughters Sharon Sechser of Spring Hill, Florida, and Dawn-Ann Warren of 
Williamstown, NJ; son Burton E. Hickman of Powhantan, Virginia; three sisters, Joan Fields 
of Deland, FL, Dorothy Bullock of Barrington, NJ and Cass Colna of Gelax, VA; a brother, 
Joseph C. Hoffman of Blackwood, NJ; their families; 19 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. 
Mom-Mom will be forever remembered by all her family members and others that loved her. 
She was laid to rest on August 4, 2008 at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
