Bea was true Jewish
Momma! She has spent her life taking care of those she
loved - cooking, cleaning and nurturing. As a young girl she took
care of
her baby brother, Irving, whom she called Totty, and she also had
an older
sister, Lillie. She left her parents home to begin her life with
Norman
Eisenstein and together they had two sons, Stanley (Beany) and
Neal. When
Norman passed away at a young age she continued to devote herself
to her
children, raising young Neal as a single Mom. Later on she began
dating
Sunny Gottesman. Sunny and his first wife, Dotty, had lived in the
same
apartment building and used to socialize with Bea and Norman. But
with
Dotty and Norman both gone Sunny and Bea began dating and soon
married.
They moved from Coney Island, Brooklyn, to the Bronx and then out
to
California to be near Sunny's two sons, Gary and Stewart, and
their
families. Then they even tried Arizona for a year but it was just
too darn
hot for them so they headed back to California and enjoyed the
children and
grandchildren that Sunny had brought into their world. After Sunny
passed
in 2006 Bea moved to Arizona again and lived near her older son,
Beany, and
his family. She spent time with her grandchildren, honorary
grandchildren,
great granddaughter and two honorary great granddaughters before
she passed
on 10/1/08. Neal and his family would come out every opportunity
and her
stepson, Gary called often to send his love.
Bea will live on in her family's memories and their love for her.
